Let The Music Move You!

Looking For Exercise Inspiration?

Studies have shown that listening to music during exercise can improve results, both in terms of being a motivator and as a distraction from negatives like fatigue and boredom.

“People exercise longer and more vigorously to music!”

As a Toronto Personal Trainer and Women’s Group Fitness expert I always tell clients to use music for inspiration.

Working with a trainer who pushes you is ideal, but when exercising without a partner music can do that too.

Consider creating an exercises playlist on your iPod or MP3 player especially for your program.

Make a playlist filled with music that you reserve listening to and look forward to hearing when you workout next.

I personally take hours to plan my Toronto women’s fitness class by choosing music that fits specifically to the chosen activity. For example up tempo lively song can propel my participant through the cardio portion of my class.

Here are a few cardio track suggestions to get you started-

Calabria 2007 – Enur
Work (Steve Pitron & Max Sanna Radio Edit) – Kelly Rowland
Jump N’ Shout – Basement Jaxx
Put Your Hands Up for Detroit – Fedde Le Grand
Make Me Sweat (Original Mix) – Basement Jaxx
In the Dog House – Bruce Wayne vs. DJ Hanz

There is nothing more motivating then having great music to exercise to.
Learn to love exercising and use music to make it an enjoyable experience!

Do you have a song you’d like to share?

Feel free to post it here!

Here’s to inspiring your next workout in a new way!

You’re so right about the music moving you. I have 4 different workout playlists that I can go back and forth from because I love a great variety!
Here are some of my faves: Watchin'(Club Mix)[featuring Amanda Wilson] by Amanda Wilson and Freemasons,
Satisfaction (Isak Original) by Benny Benassi & The Biz, What you Waitin’ for? by Gwen Stefani, and my new fave is the new Cyndi Lauper cd, Bring Ya to The Brink. Songs like, High and Mighty, Into the Nightlife, Give It Up, and Set Your Heart (Pink Noise Remix) are some faves but the whole cd is really fun and dancy!! Sweat, have fun, and feel confidant!
